Sergei Wassiljewitsch Rachmaninow
Nowgorod, *1. April 1873 – 28. März 1943°, Beverly Hills. Pianist, Komponist, Dirigent.
1930 erwirbt Rachmaninow ein idyllisches Ufergrundstück in Hertenstein. Senar nennt er die Villa, die er hier darauf im Bauhausstil errichten lässt – Sergej + Natalja Rachmaninow.
Hier findet er zum Komponieren zurück. Während der vielen Sommermonate entstehen Variationenwerke zu Corelli – op. 42, 1931–, Paganini –op. 43, 1934 und er beendet hier die 3. Symphonie 1936.
Rachmaninow Übersiedelt 1939 in die USA.

In 1930, Rachmaninoff buys an idyllic piece of land on the lakeshore in Hertenstein. He names the Bauhaus style villa he builds there Senar – Sergej + Natalja Rachmaninoff.
It is here that he begins to compose again, completing Variations on a Theme of Corelli, Op. 42, in 1931, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43, in 1934 and his Symphony No. 3 in 1936.
Rachmaninoff moves to the USA in 1939.
